Glamour Girls To Trial Ahead Of Flying Amy Quest

French Martini and Zambora Tiger, two of the sport's most exciting young female chasers, will trial at Albion Park on Thursday night ahead of the Group 2 Flying Amy Classic.

Boasting a record purse of $150,000 in 2022, the Flying Amy is certain to attract a stellar group of age-restricted greyhounds for the heats slated on June 9.

Spearheading NSW's assault on the rich series is the Peter Lagogiane-trained French Martini and Scott Tyson-prepared Zambora Tiger which will both have their first look at Albion Park on Thursday night.

French Martini, winner at five of her seven starts, was last seen taking out the Group 3 Ladies Bracelet at Wentworth Park on Million Dollar Chase night in a dazzling 29.46.

The hugely talented Zambora Tiger, winner at five of her nine starts, has reeled off some scintillating times in her brief career, including a rampaging 29.58 victory last Wednesday at Wentworth Park.

And it was that performance which rubber-stamped her trip north for a crack at Queensland's richest aged classic.

"Off her run the other night she's entitled to a crack at the race so I'll travel up Thursday and give her a look at Albion Park," Zambora Tiger's trainer Scott Tyson said.

"I thought she'd run around the 29.70 mark last week if she led, so to run 29.58 was even better. She's a bitch with pure speed that is just as strong at the finish so if things work out she can be right amongst it in better races.

"The other plus is that she's a really good traveller so the trip there and back shouldn't worry her. Provided she does everything right and handles the track on Thursday we'll be back for the heats."

A daughter of Zambora Brockie and grand brood Prancing Tiger, Zambora Tiger is from a hugely talented litter which has so far won 25 of their 59 starts.

And while boasting some very smart siblings, Zambora Tiger has always been the leader of the pack.

"She's always been six lengths ahead of the rest," Tyson said.

"Targeting these races is all a bit new to me. The Flying Amy is group 1 prize money and I've never been in a series worth that sort of money before.

"And I've never been to Albion Park before either."

The Flying Amy Classic is slated for June 9 and 16 with the winner to take home $100,000.
