A host of top flight sprinters will descend on Ladbrokes Gardens this Friday for heats of the Group 2 Sires On Ice Black Top (515m).

The flagship event has attracted 28 runners across the four heats with first and second from each qualifier to progress to the $40,000-to-the-winner final.

The opening heat will see the Michelle Lill-trained More Sauce start a short priced favourite chasing a sixth straight victory.

FIELDS AND FORM THE GARDENS FRIDAY

Winner of the Grafton Sprinters Cup (450m) in July, More Sauce, a son of Keybow, goes into the Black Top in sublime form, boasting nine wins and three seconds at his past 12 outings.

Heat two sees a mouthwatering three-way clash between Casual Glance, Ebby Infrared and emerging young star Mickey Doo.

Casual Glance, a brother to More Sauce, has been in fantastic touch going into the series for Michael and Michelle Lill, including a slick 29.54 recently at The Gardens.

Without doubt the most interesting runner of the series is Mickey Doo, which goes into the series as the winner at seven of his 10 starts.

Trained by Mark Davidson, Mickey Doo has enjoyed a spectacular start to his career with recent performances suggesting he's more than up to the rise to group company.

The third heat will see top-notch group sprinters Fire Legend and Zulu Warlord slug it out while the final qualifier sees another great clash with Ladies Bracelet winner Pay Call tackling powerhouse performer Zipping Kyrgios and the talented Memphis Keeping.
