‘Fresh' New Look To Whiskey Riot At Stud

ANTHONY Azzopardi remembers the good old days and has decided to do something about it through his top young stud dog Whiskey Riot.

ANTHONY Azzopardi remembers the good old days and has decided to do something about it.

That's why Group 1 star, Whiskey Riot (Fernando Bale-Ready To Riot), will be available to broodbitch owners via fresh artificial insemination.

Winner of the Group 1 Melbourne Cup and Temlee, the regally bred sprinter was also placed in the Group 1 Maturity, Australian Cup, Topgun and Adelaide Cup.

“Bring back the old times,” said Azzopardi.

“We've got plenty of straws put away for him so we made the decision to give breeders the opportunity to use him via fresh insemination.”

Whiskey Riot's oldest pups are 11 months and out of star bitch Flash Riot.

“Everyone who has them only need to be asked what they think,” said Anthony.

“They love them. We have had a lot of response from breeders to the fresh insemination plan but only need to wait for the bitches to come on season.

“His fee is $2200 but we will have to add a few small charges for the progesterone test and the insemination.”

Azzopardi said he was uncertain just how long the fresh insemination would be available but is confident it would be for the next few months at least.

“Remember, we are coming into winter too,” he said.

He is particularly impressed with the keenness of the Whiskey Riot pups he has on his property.

I bought a couple of bitches out of Ruby Herrara and I can tell you what we have seen with them on the bull ring already is amazing,” he said.

“They will take nothing to break in.

“Everyone is telling us that seems to be the case with their pups.”
